Welcome to the New Improving Website of the Oakridge/Westfir Area Chamber of Commerce.
Our website is still a work in progress, so please check back in on a regular
basis. In the future we will be adding a new photo gallery
and a slide show.
Oakridge, Oregon is the "Center of Oregon Recreation". Located at
the foot of the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains, Oakridge/Westfir are
some of Oregon´s best recreational spots. From Oakridge you´re just
minutes away from a long list of campgrounds and trailheads throughout the Willamette
National Forest.
Be sure to pick up one of our visitor maps as soon as you get in town from
one of our chamber members.
Some of the best trout fishing can be found on the Middle Fork of the Willamette
River which flows right by Oakridge on its way down to the Willamette Valley
floor. More excellent fishing and boating can be enjoyed on nearby mountain
river, lakes and reservoirs.
Located on Highway 58 in the middle of a fantastic array of recreation opportunities.
A ski area only 30 miles to the east. There are nearly 500 miles of trails with
in an hour and a half of the Oakridge/Westfir area. There are trails for every
kind of outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, cross county skiing, and
equestrian activities. If you like to recreate with a motor we have special
motorcycle and snowmobile trails.
We are 45 minutes from Oregon´s third largest city, Eugene, the home
of the University of Oregon and Lane Community College.
We are above the fog and below the snow.
Real estate is a bargain.
Mountain scenic views and riverfront locations are surprisingly affordable!
We are an Enterprise Zone for businesses that want to create manufacturing and
other well-paying jobs. Industrial Park and incentives available.
Oakridge and Westfir are surrounded by National Forest lands. The town can never
grow too big. Real estate values are rising and will generally increase as we
are discovered by more families seeking a beautiful place to live, do business,
and recreate.
