Our Community

The communities of Oakridge and Westfir work closely together to support and enhance economic improvements. Oakridge and Westfir are natural trail heads for outdoor adventures with abundant and easily-accessible forests, lakes, rivers and mountains. The residents of these two close-knit communities have embraced recreational tourism to replace the lost logging industry. Local business owners and city representatives have rallied behind community beautification grants and projects, volunteer organizations that build and maintain trails, events and visitor programs like “We Speak” which emphasize customer service and sharing local knowledge.
