Join us for the free Household Hazardous Waste Roundup and declutter your home of unwanted chemicals responsibly! Here’s what you need to know:
📅 Date: Saturday, April 27
⏰ Time: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
📍 Location: Oakridge Fire Station (47592 Highway 58)
✅ Who Can Participate: All community members! Whether you’re spring cleaning or making space in your garage, bring your household hazardous waste and we’ll take care of it.
✅ What to Bring:
🎨 Paint
🧼 Household cleaners
🌿 Lawn and garden chemicals
🚗 Car care products
🖌 Arts and crafts supplies
🏊♂️ Pool chemicals
💡 Fluorescent lamps
🛢 Up to 35 gallons of other household hazardous waste
👀 Look for labels that mention: flammable, corrosive, poison, caution, or danger.
🚫 **Please Do Not Bring:**
🚮 Empty containers (dispose in your regular trash)
🥁 Drums
☢️ Radioactive or infectious waste
🚧 Asbestos
🔩 Pressurized cylinders

What about hazardous waste from businesses?
Businesses that generate small amounts of hazardous waste may pre-register to bring that waste to this event. Businesses must pay for disposal of the waste, but most can save money by using this program rather than hiring a contractor.
