Dee Sidwell Fine Art and Raincrow Botanicals delights in crafting custom bouquets, wreaths, topiaries and swags using plant material that is grown or harvested sustainably from the forest.
I am an artist, flower farmer, and floral designer living and working in the Oakridge/Westfir area for over 20 years.
Raincrow Botanicals is my flower farm and floral design business. I grow plants in a way that requires no artificial fertilizers and minimizes the use of water. My desire is to make the land I am living on as hospitable to wildlife as possible and my farming as sustainable as possible.
It’s exciting and I’m happy to be learning more about these methods everyday. This last year, I converted all my raised beds to Hugelkultur beds, hopefully this will pay off in the next 2-3 years with reduced water use.
My other business is Dee Sidwell Fine Art. This is a lifelong process, and hopefully part of a long life process! I have been painting for over 40 years, but recently decided to make it a priority in my life.
I paint mostly with acrylics, occasionally with oils, and I’m currently focusing on flora and fauna depicted in saturated colors and dramatic landscapes. I love it when my paintings are enjoyed by people and that enjoyment helps to preserve and protect the wild places in Oregon and elsewhere.
