Oakridge Disc Golf Club

The fine folks at the Oakridge Disc Golf Club have been very busy over the last few years establishing and maintaining some of the top disc golf courses in Oregon right here in the Oakridge and Westfir area. Whether you’re just beginning to get into the sport, or consider yourself a seasoned player, we have a course for you.

For those just starting out, or just want to warm up their game, a four hole course awaits at Osprey Park alongside the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. This course features natural surface tee pads with quality Mach V DGA baskets for your chain grabbing pleasure. The average distance of the holes are  just under 200 feet, so there’s no need to have a long range throw; just play your approach and putt game for the win. Osprey Disc Golf Course was founded in 2019, the beginning of it all for the ODGC, and holds a special place in the hearts of the founders.

Now for the club’s flagship course, the Old Mill Disc Golf Course. This championship level course, established in 2020, consists of eighteen holes that will challenge every aspect of your disc golf game. Gear up for a wild ride of long open crushes, precise wooded corridors, and enough elevation to satisfy your inner mountain goat. Besides being a premiere destination course in terms of design, the Old Mill DGC plays through the former Pope and Talbot mill site and contains plenty of historical reverence to the land itself. Notably, the saw blade kiosk (an actual saw blade used for cutting logs at the former mill that displays the course map, lifetime sponsors, and general rules and regulations of the park), interpretive tee signs identifying and describing the history of the mill site, a three paneled mural paying homage to the area’s past, and several mill related artifacts strategically showcased throughout the course; not to mention the professional grade turf tee pads straight from the hallowed grounds of the University of Oregon’s Autzen stadium football field. All this combines to create a truly unique disc golf experience you can’t find anywhere else.

Lastly, we have the Office Bridge Disc Golf Course in Westfir as the newest addition to the area. Like the Old Mill Disc Golf Course, the Office Bridge offers eighteen holes of elite level golf on a former mill site, the Hines Mill, and public city park. But, this course has its own unique challenges and theme. Nestled in between scenic mountain sides and following the banks of the mighty Willamette River’s North Fork, the course takes users on an adventure through historic mill ruins, expansive fields of well spaced trees, and majestic platform tee shots with breathtaking views. In terms of tee signage, the club put together wildland fire suppression and ‘fire wise’ educational interpretive signs on each hole, which represents the course well since the steep western slope that encompasses the famous Alpine Trail shows evidence of past fire activity. Make sure to visit the club’s custom made kiosk in the Portal Park to view the course map, lifetime sponsors, and read about the rules and regulations of the park. And, to top it all off, one must cross over the Office Bridge (the longest, and one of the oldest, covered bridges in Oregon) in order to enter the Office Bridge Disc Golf Course. You need to experience it to believe it! The Office Bridge Disc Golf Course is that special.

Without a doubt, designing, building, and maintaining these courses takes a lot of time and money. Hole sponsorships are welcomed and available (includes a tee sign featuring your name/logo). In addition, we offer yearly memberships in the form of bag tags (a numbered ‘dog tag’ in a variety of colors that has our logo and the current year displayed on it) for $10 a piece. The Oakridge Disc Golf Club is a 501C3 non profit organization and can accept donations at the benefit of tax deduction for the donor.
